Early in his long career with A&E, Jim discovered his inner executive. Turned out he had a talent not only for design, but also for discovering talented co-workers—and leading them. He also had an uncanny grasp of contracts, cost estimating, and quality control. A&E’s president until late 2012, Jim now supplies a vast knowledge of past projects, while continuing to prepare the firm for the future. He’s looking forward to taking on yet another role (consultant), while spending more time with his wife Claudia in their recently-renovated apartment in New York City, and traveling in their Airstream trailer.
