Julian used to be a computer geek with a creative streak. In high school, his favorite course was programming, but on a summer construction job, he began to see the beauty of bricks and mortar. Carpentry led to architecture school, which led to jobs in Europe and New York, and then to Montana. At A&E, he’s pursuing his passion for big public buildings, although he still gets a geeky enjoyment from details like exterior wall systems. His hobbies include kayaking, camping, and yes, pickling.
