Alexandra E. SykesPreservation Designer

As a small girl, Alexandra enjoyed rearranging her dollhouse to utilize space in creative ways. Her creativity blossomed in college, where she became interested in how space and objects can be manipulated in different ways. This exploration of space merged with her love for history, ultimately guiding her toward the field of preservation architecture. Alexandra finds great intrigue in a historic building’s silent power to tell a story, “right down to its bones.” Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their welsh terrier, Moose, particularly outdoors and with a camera in hand. She also enjoys making jewelry, and confesses a self-proclaimed love for the “glue gun.”
